This two-day course, which is being held in Kelowna, BC, from the 18th to 19th of November 2014, introduces users to R software. The course is suitable for individuals who have never used R as well R-users looking to consolidate their understanding of the basics.
R is a free open source programming environment for data manipulation, plotting and statistical analyses. The course will be taught by Dr. Joseph Thorley, R.P.Bio. and Dr. Robyn Irvine, R.P.Bio. of Poisson Consulting Ltd.. Joe Thorley and Robyn Irvine are professional fish population biologists with over 15 years combined R programming experience.

The course will run from 8:30 to 17:00 on November 18 and 19 2014.
The course will be held at the Royal Anne Hotel in downtown Kelowna.
The Royal Anne has offered a special room rate of $89/day including free continental breakfast and wifi for participants.
